Full-Time ESL Instructor – Adult English Conversation (Gangnam, Seoul)

We are seeking a dedicated and professional English instructor to join our team in Gangnam, Seoul. This position focuses on helping adult Korean learners improve their English speaking skills through one-on-one conversation classes in a supportive and low-administration teaching environment, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Position Details

• Location: Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea
• Student Type: Adult learners (1:1 speaking classes)
• Work Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (Monday–Thursday) plus one Saturday per month. Approximately 36 working hours per week.
• Shift Hours (Mon–Thu): Split shift from 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Saturday Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes a 30-minute break) with an additional ₩150,000 bonus.

Compensation and Housing Benefits

• Base Salary: ₩2,200,000 – ₩2,400,000 per month
• Performance Incentives: Monthly incentives based on student attendance rates. Most instructors earn an additional ₩350,000 – ₩550,000 per month.
• Housing Support: Employer-provided key money (deposit) of ₩10,000,000 along with a ₩500,000 monthly housing allowance.

• National Holidays: Observed strictly according to Korean labor law.
• Paid Vacation: 11 paid vacation days annually (can be used freely after three months of employment).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for lessons efficiently in advance.
• Conduct engaging, high-quality one-on-one speaking classes.
• Complete brief post-class reports (approximately three lines per student).
• Maintain professional business-casual attire and warmly greet students before class.
• Enjoy a minimal administrative workload to focus primarily on teaching and student development.

Ideal Candidate

• Language: Native-level English speaker.
• Visa Status: Eligible for an E-2 visa or currently holding valid work authorization in South Korea.
• Skills: Professional, reliable, enthusiastic about adult education, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
