Short-Term Academic Reading Teacher Needed – Gangnam, Seoul (June 15 – July 3)
Looking for a highly rewarding, short-term teaching opportunity in Seoul’s most vibrant district? We are seeking a professional and qualified English educator to lead an intensive Academic Reading course for international school students in Gangnam. This position offers a light part-time morning schedule, focused curriculum goals, and an excellent fixed compensation package for a three-week period.
Position Overview
- Location: Gangnam Area, Seoul, South Korea
- Job Type: Short-Term / Part-Time Summer Program
- Program Dates: June 15 – July 3
- Student Level: Grade 5 and Grade 6 International School Students
- Course Focus: Academic Reading
Work Schedule & Course Workload
- Working Days: Monday to Friday (No Weekend Classes)
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4 hours per day)
- Total Workload: Exactly 60 teaching hours across the entire program duration
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured and engaging lessons focused specifically on advanced Academic Reading skills.
- Successfully guide students through and complete two (2) assigned Academic Reading textbooks during the 3-week program period.
- Maintain a high standard of classroom engagement suitable for international school students.
Compensation
- Fixed Session Pay: 2,000,000 KRW (For the complete 60-hour program)
Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid legal working visa in South Korea (F-series visa preferred, or E-2 visa with registered part-time permission).
- Strong background in teaching academic reading, literature, or TOEFL/SAT-level prep to upper elementary school students.
- Excellent communication skills and professional classroom management.
