Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher – Shepherd International Education (SIE), Seoul

Short Description: SIE is seeking a qualified Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. Candidates must reside in Korea and hold an F-type visa or Korean citizenship. Attractive salary, housing, full benefits, and long vacations provided.

Location: Seoul (Shepherd International Education – SIE)
Start Date: ASAP
Teaching Age: Grade 1
Class Size: 10–16 students
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:30PM or 8AM–5PM
Teaching Load: Maximum 5 classes out of 7 per day (excluding after-school clubs)

Requirements

Must already be residing in Korea
Must have an F-type working visa or Korean citizenship
Eligible to register as a teacher with the Ministry of Education
Experience in early years education preferred

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Starts at 2.8 million KRW/month (negotiable based on experience & education)
Housing: School-provided housing or 500,000 KRW allowance (for foreign nationals)
Vacation: All national holidays + 4 personal/sick days + 2 weeks winter + 1 week spring + 4 weeks summer
Meals: Free cafeteria lunch
Insurance: Full four national insurances
Severance: Paid upon completion of contract
Training: Initial teacher training + 2 professional development days/year
Staff: 30+ teaching staff

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging lessons according to schedule
Assess and evaluate students fairly and consistently
Maintain compliance with SIE policies and standards
Model ethical behavior, social responsibility, and professionalism
Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers
Participate in school events and club activities
