Position Overview
- Location: Gangdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea
- Job Title: Elementary Homeroom Teacher (Grades 1-4)
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
- Class Size: Approximately 10 – 18 students per class
- Teaching Staff: Join a large, supportive community of 30+ international teachers
Work Schedule & Class Workload
- Working Days: Monday to Friday (No Weekend Classes)
- Working Hours: 7:50 AM – 4:50 PM
- Teaching Load & Breaks: Excellent schedule balance! Teach a daily maximum of only 5 out of 7 possible classes (not including after-school clubs), leaving ample time for prep and breaks.
Compensation & Premium Benefits
- Monthly Salary: Starting at 2.8 Million KRW (Negotiable based primarily on education and years of experience; structured new-hire payscale guidelines are in place).

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Fulfill all duties and responsibilities associated with early years education, including pastoral care, regular parent communications, and academic progress monitoring/support.
- Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging classes at scheduled times aligned with Common Core standards.
- Record, evaluate, and communicate students’ academic performance in an objective, fair, and timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with SIE administrators and fellow teachers, participating actively in SIE school events and club activities.
- Comply with SIE policies, standards, rules, and regulations while modeling honesty, good social skills, civic responsibility, and ethical conduct.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Location Requirement: Currently residing in Korea (Gangdong-gu, Seoul area preferred).
- Visa Status: Must hold an F-type working visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or Korean citizenship. (Must be eligible to be registered as a teacher with the Korean Ministry of Education).
- Experience: At least two (2) years of proven teaching experience in a structured classroom setting.
- Certifications: Teaching accreditations/credentials are highly preferred.
