Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher Wanted – SIE South Korea (August 2026 Start)

Position Overview

- Job Title: Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
- Teaching Age Group: Elementary School (Grades 1-4)
- Class Size: Highly manageable premium setting with approximately 10 – 18 students per class
- Total Openings: 1 Vacancy
Work Schedule & Balanced Teaching Load
- Working Days: Monday to Friday (No Weekend Classes)
- Working Hours: 7:50 AM – 4:50 PM
- Excellent Workload Balance: Teach a daily maximum of only 5 out of 7 possible classes in the schedule (excluding after-school clubs), leaving ample time for lesson prep!
Compensation & Premium Conditions
- Monthly Salary: Starting at 2.8 Million KRW (Negotiable based primarily on your education level and years of experience according to new-hire payscale guidelines).
- Housing Support: Comfortable housing provided OR a monthly Housing Allowance of 500,000 KRW for foreign nationals.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle all homeroom duties associated with primary education, including pastoral care, active parent communications, and monitoring/supporting academic progress.
- Plan, prepare, and conduct high-quality classes based on the Common Core curriculum at scheduled times.
- Record, evaluate, and communicate students’ performances in an objective, fair, and timely manner.
- Comply with all SIE institutional policies, standards, rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Model honesty, strong social skills, civic responsibility, fairness, and ethical conduct for young learners.
- Work collaboratively with SIE administrators and a dedicated team of fellow teachers.
- Active participation in school-wide SIE events and extracurricular club activities.
Job Requirements & Basic Criteria
- Current Location: Must be currently residing in South Korea.
- Visa Status: Must hold a valid F-type working visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or possess Korean citizenship.
- MOE Registration: Must be legally eligible to be registered as a foreign teacher with the Korean Ministry of Education.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a structured classroom setting.
- Qualifications: Professional teaching accreditations, licenses, or education-related degrees are highly preferred.
