Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher – Shepherd International Education (SIE), Seoul

Short Description: Shepherd International Education (SIE) is urgently seeking a qualified Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. Applicants must already reside in Korea and hold an F-visa or Korean citizenship.

Basic Requirements

Must be residing in Korea
Must have an F-type working visa or Korean citizenship
Must be eligible for teacher registration with the Ministry of Education

Working Conditions

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:30PM or 8AM–5PM
Vacation: All national holidays, 4 personal/sick days, 2 weeks winter, 1 week spring, 4 weeks summer
Meals: Free cafeteria lunch
Insurance: Full four major national insurances
Severance: Paid at contract completion
Salary: Starting at 2.8 million KRW/month (negotiable; based on experience and education)
Housing: School-provided housing or 500,000 KRW housing allowance (for foreign nationals)
Teaching Age: Grade 1
Teaching Load: Max 5 classes out of 7 per day (excluding after-school clubs)
Class Size: 10–16 students
Training: Initial training + 2 professional development days per year
Teaching Staff: 30+ teachers

Roles and Responsibilities

Have experience with early years education
Plan, prepare, and teach lessons at scheduled times
Evaluate and communicate student performance fairly and accurately
Follow all SIE policies, procedures, and educational standards
Model honesty, ethics, social responsibility, and professionalism
Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers
Participate in school events and club activities
