Location: South Korea
Position: Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher (Elementary)

Basic Requirements

Currently residing in Korea
Must have an F-type working visa or Korean citizenship
Eligible for registration as a teacher with the Ministry of Education

Working Conditions

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Vacation: All national holidays, 4 personal/sick days per year, 2 weeks in winter, 4 weeks in summer
Lunch: Free cafeteria lunch provided
Insurance & Severance: Four major insurances and severance pay included
Salary: Starting from 2.8 million KRW/month (negotiable based on education and experience; new-hire pay scale applies)
Housing: School-provided housing or 500,000 KRW housing allowance for foreign nationals
Teaching Age: Grade 1
Teaching Load: Maximum 5 out of 7 classes per day (excluding after-school clubs)
Class Size: Approximately 10–16 students per class
Teacher Training: Initial Teacher Training and 2 Professional Development Days per year
Teaching Staff: 30+ teachers

Roles and Responsibilities

Experience with early years education preferred
Plan, prepare, and conduct classes according to the schedule
Record, evaluate, and communicate student performance objectively and fairly
Comply with SIE’s policies, standards, and regulations
Demonstrate honesty, good social skills, civic responsibility, and ethical behavior
Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers
Participate in school events and club activities
