Middle & High School Social Studies Teacher Needed – Seoul | August 2025 Start
Shepherd International Education (SIE) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our dynamic faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse, international student body in a supportive and well-established academic environment located in Seoul.

Position Details:
- Job Title: Middle & High School Social Studies Teacher
- Start Date: August 11, 2025
- Teaching Levels: Grades 6 to 12 (Middle & High School)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30AM–4:30PM or 8:00AM–5:00PM
- Teaching Load: Max 5 out of 8 class periods (excluding clubs)
- Class Size: 5–16 students per class
Salary & Benefits:
- Monthly Salary: Starting at 3.0 million KRW (negotiable based on experience)
- Housing: School-provided or 500,000 KRW monthly housing allowance
- Vacation: 4 weeks in summer, 2 weeks in winter, 1 week in spring + national holidays
- Other Benefits: Free cafeteria lunch, 4 insurances, severance pay, personal/sick days
- Professional Development: Initial teacher training + 2 PD days per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons across multiple Social Studies subjects
- Teach topics such as History, Geography, Civics, Global Studies, Economics
- Promote global citizenship and critical thinking through inquiry-based learning
- Use educational technology like Google Workspace to support instruction
- Provide meaningful feedback and keep accurate student records
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning, clubs, field trips, and events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies-related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in Secondary Education (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (international experience preferred)
- Strong communication, classroom management, and digital skills
- Visa Eligibility: F-visa, Korean nationals, and qualified E2 visa holders considered
