Teaching Opportunity in Shanghai Kindergarten (China)

Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate a deep understanding of curriculum, subject content, pedagogical knowledge, and student needs to provide relevant learning experiences.
2. Design coherent instruction to engage students in meaningful learning.
3. Manage classroom procedures effectively, including handling student behavior.
4. Cultivate an environment of respect and rapport within the classroom.
5. Ensure proper setup and maintenance of equipment, teaching materials, and classroom decoration.
6. Document student learning and employ assessments to enhance teaching and learning strategies.
7. Actively participate in school-wide teaching activities.
8. Serve as a reliable resource for parents.

Qualifications:

1. Native English Speaker with English as the first language; Bachelor’s degree or above, with a preference for relevant educational qualification certificates.
2. Minimum of one year teaching experience with young children aged 2-6 years.
3. Familiarity with educational theories such as constructivism, sociocultural theory, funds of knowledge, foxfire, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
4. Genuine enjoyment of working with young children.
5. Energetic, patient, and responsible demeanor.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Full-time Salary: 26,000-32,000 CNY ($3600 – $4500+) after tax
