Shepherd International Education, located in Seoul, South Korea, is seeking qualified teachers to fill positions across Elementary, Middle, and High School departments for the upcoming academic year. We follow an American curriculum, teaching students from grades 1 through 12.
Basic Requirements:
- Must hold an F-type working VISA or be a citizen of Korea.
- Eligibility for teacher registration with the Ministry of Education, requiring a bachelor’s degree, a clear criminal background check, and passing a mandated medical check-up.
Working Conditions:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (leave at 4:40 if no meetings).
- 1-hour break daily, with approximately 30% of the schedule allocated for class preparation.
- 10-minute breaks between classes.
- Average class size of 12 students.
- Initial teacher training and ongoing support provided by administrative staff.
- Teaching staff consisting of 30+ teachers.
- Vacation includes all national holidays, 4 personal/sick days per year, 2 weeks in winter, 1 week in spring, and 4 weeks in summer.
- Free cafeteria lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks.
- Four insurances and severance payment.
Specific Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience.
- Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in their teaching subject.
- Strong knowledge of education theory and practice, with an education degree or teaching license considered advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and student well-being.
Salary: Starting at $2,100 USD per month (2.8 Million won) + $375 USD housing allowance (school-provided housing possible as well). Negotiable based primarily on education and years of experience.
