Opportunity for IB Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher in Guangzhou, China

Location: Tianhe, Guangzhou, China
Salary: 28,000-32,000 RMB ($3900 – $4400+) Monthly (Before Tax)
Students: 5-6 years old
Working Hours: 7:45 am-4:45 pm, Monday to Friday
Holiday: Chinese public holidays + 1 week of spring vacation + 2 weeks of winter vacation for Christmas + 2 weeks of Chinese New Year holiday + 6 to 7 weeks of summer vacation

Job Responsibilities:

1. Deliver the IB curriculum effectively.
2. Collaborate with the Chinese homeroom teacher to manage the class, ensuring children’s safety and fostering self-regulation.
3. Handle environmental displays, communication with parents, and write reports and class newsletters.
4. Assess children’s development and coordinate parent-teacher meetings.
5. Organize or participate in kindergarten activities and other events, including PD days.
6. Assist in writing or proofreading English versions of kindergarten documents.
7. Work professionally with a positive and committed attitude to enhance work synergy and create a high-performance team.

Requirements:

1. Native English speaker.
2. Caring and patient with children.
3. Hold a BA degree or higher.
4. Education major with a teaching certificate preferred.
5. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with 2.5 to 6 years old children.
