Adult ESL Teaching Position – Seoul (Jongro & Gwanghwamun)
Are you a passionate ESL educator looking to teach motivated adult learners in central Seoul? A reputable English institute located in Jongro and Gwanghwamun is hiring experienced native English speakers for one-on-one adult & business English classes. This position offers competitive pay, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with professional learners.
Position Overview:
- Location: Jongro or Gwanghwamun, Seoul, South Korea
- Start Date: July 2025
- Contract Duration: 1 year
- Students: Adults (1:1), Business English, TOPIK-focused
- Training: 3-day training period
Schedule & Work Options:
- Working Days: Monday to Friday (Full-time)
- Optional Part-time: Flexible scheduling available upon request
- Shifts:
- Split Shift: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM & 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM
- Block Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Paid Saturday Classes: 2x per month, 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM (Overtime pay included) Salary & Compensation:
- Base Monthly Salary: 2.3M – 2.6M KRW
- Total With Bonuses: Up to 3.6M KRW/month
- Saturday Overtime: 300,000 KRW/month
- Split Shift Bonus: 100,000 KRW (after 6 months) + 200,000 KRW (after 1 year)
- Booking Bonus: Provided
- Completion Bonus: Provided at end of contract
Housing & Benefits:
- Housing Provided: One-room apartment or 550,000 KRW housing allowance
- Vacation: 11 days + National Holidays
- Insurance: National Health Insurance
- Pension: National Pension Plan
Applicant Requirements:
- Nationality: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa
- Visa: Must be eligible for an E-2, F visa, or other valid work visa
- Experience: Previous adult or business English teaching preferred

- Foreign Teachers: 9 native teachers currently on staff
