Shanghai Public University Hiring Foreign English Teacher – Starting September 2024
We are seeking an experienced foreign English teacher for a public higher vocational college in Shanghai. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers already in Shanghai with valid permits, offering competitive pay and a flexible schedule.

Requirements
- Currently residing in Shanghai
- Hold a valid foreigner’s work permit and Shanghai work residence permit (able to renew independently)
- Native English speaker or from a country where English is an official language (recognized by the Chinese government)
- Experience teaching high school, university, or adult English (proof required)
- All qualified teachers welcome regardless of skin color
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach university English courses for students aged 18–21
- 12 classes per week, Monday to Friday
- Each class: 80 minutes
- Flexible working hours, no seated class system
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 18,000 RMB/month or higher (negotiable based on experience)
- Accommodation: Generally not provided (exceptional candidates may negotiate)
- Paid Chinese public holidays
- Weekends off
- Summer and winter vacation (unpaid)
