Drama & English Teacher

Location: Baoshan District, Shanghai, China
Start Date: Mid-August 2025

We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama & English Teacher to join our international school team in Shanghai. This is a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant learning environment where creativity, project-based learning, and collaboration are encouraged.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: 25,000 – 28,000 RMB/month after tax (Aug–June)
Contract Renewal Bonus: One month’s salary (renewal in March 2026, bonus paid in September 2026)
Flight Reimbursement: 10,000 RMB/year (pre-tax)
Housing: Furnished apartment provided on campus
Insurance: Comprehensive health and accident insurance
Paid Leave: National holidays, winter & summer holidays (50% paid)

Qualifications and Requirements:

Native English speaker
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, English, Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Valid teaching credentials
Minimum 2 years of relevant international school teaching experience
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Creative, flexible, energetic, and passionate about education
Experience with project-based learning
Ability to teach PE or Music occasionally, as needed
Able to provide all documentation required for a work permit in China

Job Responsibilities:

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Maximum 15 classes per week
Design and implement annual and semester teaching plans and curriculum in line with school objectives
Develop engaging lesson plans, student activities, and assessment tools
Conduct exams, class observations, and contribute to teacher workshops and academic exchanges
Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues
Participate in school-led professional development programs
Maintain and analyze student records, including test scores and teacher reports
